Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Steve Clinton is senior vice president of Freddie Mac's Strategic Initiatives Division, overseeing all significant conservatorship and corporate strategy initiatives. He also has responsibility for the Enterprise Program Management Office, which oversees and provides strategic advice on Freddie Mac’s initiative-spending portfolio. Steve reports to Jerry Weiss, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Previously, Clinton was senior vice president of Single-Family Operations. In that role, he was responsible for the people, processes, and technology associated with the purchase, securitization, and servicing of Freddie Mac's Single-Family loan portfolio.
Clinton has worked at Freddie Mac for more than 20 years, holding a series of increasingly responsible positions across the company, including in our Single-Family Pricing, Investor Marketing, and Secondary Market Trading areas. Before joining Freddie Mac, he held secondary market trading positions at E*TRADE Bank.
Clinton is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the College of William and Mary.
