Executive Vice President, Investments and Capital Markets
Michael Hutchins is the executive vice president of Freddie Mac’s Investments & Capital Markets division. In this position, Hutchins is responsible for managing all of Freddie Mac's liquidity, financing, and interest rate hedging activities as well as managing Freddie Mac's portfolio of single family investments. He is a member of the company's senior operating committee and reports directly to CEO Don Layton.
Hutchins has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Most recently, he was co-founder and CEO of PrinceRidge. Prior to founding PrinceRidge, he was with UBS from 1996 - 2007, holding a variety of positions, including the Global Head of the Fixed Income, Rates & Currencies Group. Prior to UBS, Hutchins worked at Salomon Brothers from 1986 - 1996, and held a number of management positions, including Co-Head of Fixed Income Capital Markets.
