Freddie Mac is teaming up with Easter Seals to help as many as 10,000 veterans, seniors, caregivers, and people with disabilities better manage their personal finances and find better housing options in their communities.

"Easter Seals supports nearly 2 million families as they celebrate life's milestones, no matter how big or small – from buying that first house to balancing a checkbook, said Randy Rutta, president and CEO, Easter Seals. "Our partnership with Freddie Mac will help expand opportunities for homeownership and financial stability to the families we serve at the local level."

The new initiative will provide personal financial and housing counseling to Easter Seals clients and caregivers in Atlanta, Orlando and New Brunswick/Sayreville, NJ.  In addition, Easter Seals is utilizing My Home by Freddie Mac to provide on-line support to help veterans and other clients across the country achieve their personal goals to become successful renters, homebuyers or long-term homeowners.

"By working with Easter Seals' service network, including Easter Seals Dixon Center and its local Easter Seals affiliates, we have the potential to help more than 10,000 Easter Seals clients and caregivers who are striving for better housing opportunities," explained Danny Gardner, Freddie Mac Vice President of Affordable Lending and Access to Credit.
