Urban or Suburban?

It's the moment you've been waiting for: your real–life episode of House Hunters.

But unlike the TV show, it'll probably take longer than two days and looking at more than a few houses. Buying a home is a BIG deal, so finding the right one is super important. Deciding whether or not you prefer hardwood floors or carpet is one thing, but things like size and location are especially important and can have long–term impacts on both your wallet and your quality of life.

For example, if you're pre–approved for a $150,000 home, but require four bedrooms and a fenced-in yard for your dog, you may want to consider a single–family home further from the city–center. When deciding to buy my home, I knew I wanted to live in a specific downtown neighborhood, which meant I had to compromise on size — but it was worth it and it fit my lifestyle!

That's the great thing about house–hunting: there's no one–size–fits–all for the homebuyer. It's whatever works for YOU! Not sure where to start? Check out the infographic below.
