The 45 companies on the list are ranked in five categories: Board and Leadership, Recruitment, Retention and Promotion, Marketing and Community Outreach, and Supplier Diversity. These companies are not only well represented personnel-wise by Hispanics, but make the effort to continue hiring from minority groups, and also retain and promote these individuals, Hispanic Business said.
Freddie Mac was also recognized as one of the 17 "stalwarts of diversity": companies that were on the original list in 2005 and are still on it today.
Freddie Mac is consistently ranked a "Best Place to Work" by some of the nation's top diversity publications and organizations (including Working Mother magazine, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, and the Asia Society).
