Congratulations to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development on its Single-Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program's 25th anniversary! Freddie Mac looks forward to working together even more closely over the next 25.
Rural and small town communities occupy about 90% of America, and the Guaranteed Loan Program helps people in these areas buy or maintain their homes. Working with approved lenders, eligible low– and moderate–income households may access funding they need to build, rehabilitate, improve, or relocate homes in rural areas.
In honor of the program's milestone and National Homeownership Month, Georgia USDA Rural Development hosted a celebration earlier this month in Donalsonville, Georgia – where you'll find the first property to benefit from the Guaranteed Loan Program.
