Rental Housing

Austin and Nashville have enjoyed employment and population growth far beyond national averages over the last few years. Austin's Millennial population has grown especially fast.

Area Avg. Annual Employment Growth (Past 3 Years) Employment Growth Since Recession Trough Avg. Annual Population Growth (Past 3 Years) Avg. Annual Population Growth of 25- to 34-year-olds (Past 3 Years)
Austin 4.0% 20.0% 2.9% 3.1%
Nashville 3.3% 17.0% 1.8% 1.6%
United States 1.7% 8.0% 0.8% 1.1%
