Freddie Mac Leaders are Women of Influence

Two of Freddie Mac's female leaders have been recognized by HousingWire as Women of Influence 2018 for their "influential work in the expanding housing and mortgage finance ecosystem, a traditionally male–dominated field," according to the magazine.

The list, which is now in its eighth year, recognized 85 women for their contributions to the housing industry. This is the fourth consecutive year that Freddie Mac's outstanding female leadership were recognized.

Jodi Morton, Vice President of Data Governance and Management, was recognized for her leadership in helping transform Freddie Mac's big data and advanced analytics policies.

"Morton built her team from the ground up, partnering with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to determine what the best practices for data governance and management were. This led her to implement a number of innovative ideas to make Freddie's data problem into a blue–chip asset. Some highlights include the re–platforming of both the Freddie Mac Servicer Performance Profile and Manager Series applications as part of its Single–Family Datamart family, and automating electronic data system operational reporting on Freddie's Big Data and Analytics Platform." Lauren Garren, Vice President of Multifamily Production and Sales, earned her spot on the list by being a valued leader and innovator ― and a passionate advocate of women at Freddie Mac.

"Under her leadership, the company's structured transaction business increased sales by 121% in her first year alone and she produced 138% of her goal in 2018. One of the product offerings that Garren leads is Freddie Mac's Revolving Credit Facility, a highly flexible, interest–only secured line of credit. Recently, Garren expanded this product offering to provide creative solutions for borrowers, including a unique "lease–up" solution to assist borrowers looking for short–term financing before the property is fully stabilized."
