"Today's companies face the business imperative of attracting and retaining the best and most committed employees. Our diversity and inclusion strategy is central to meeting this challenge. The ability to engage our diverse workforce and create an inclusive culture is what enables us to fulfill our vital public mission – which is itself diverse and inclusive."

     - Richard Syron, Chairman and CEO, Freddie Mac

Our Diversity & Inclusion Vision

To ensure the achievement of Freddie Mac's vital housing mission, we must foster an increasingly diverse work culture where all employees have the opportunity to be included, add value and contribute to their fullest potential.

2007 Diversity Strategy

Outreach

To support our commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce, Freddie Mac partners with local and national organizations that provide leadership and professional development opportunities to diverse communities. These partnerships enable us to more effectively reach diverse professionals across different backgrounds.

Training & Education

All new hires are required to take the online course "Why Diversity Matters." Freddie Mac's Office of Diversity & Inclusion also offers four instructor-led diversity workshops to employees throughout the year to increase awareness and foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Recruitment & Retention

Attracting diverse talent is critical to being competitive in today's market. Freddie Mac participates in a variety of recruitment events year round to attract top diverse talent. Like to learn more about our diversity outreach? Take a moment to view our 2007 recruitment calendar.
