Freddie Mac's Lambda network supports our goal of workforce diversity by representing the needs and concerns of employees regarding discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
As an employee advocacy group, our role is to help educate other employees and leadership on the issues affecting Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender, (GLBT) persons in the workplace. We provide members an opportunity to come together to share issues that relate to our organization as a whole, such as fostering a safe work environment, and to our members as individuals.
Lambda's primary focus is community outreach and education. Our Lambda network works with programs such as PFLAG, Out & Equal, and National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). We work on promoting understanding across the entire Freddie Mac organization, and include friends and allies among our members.
As a member of the Lambda network, you'll have an opportunity to have great impact on your community, and on the mission of our organization, as one of our network's goals is to facilitate efforts to identify concerns and barriers that may stand in the way of homeownership for same-sex couples.
