Sandwich Generation

The "sandwich generation" refers to individuals in mid-life who find themselves dealing with the challenge of simultaneous commitments: helping their children adjust to adulthood and their parents deal with issues of aging.

Freddie Mac's Sandwich Generation Network creates a supportive environment for employees who care for aging relatives. It helps members maintain a more beneficial balance between their personal roles and responsibilities and providing care for aging family members.

As a member of our network, you can share experiences, plug into valuable resources, and help educate others caring for aging family members. Our network serves as a resource for Freddie Mac's employees about the aging process, U.S. Health Care, and legal systems. And, due to the changing needs of the employee population we also assist Freddie Mac in updating employee benefits.
