In a June 1, 2007 Letter to the Editor [DOC 25K] to the Topeka Capital Journal, Community National Bank Senior Vice President Roger Underwood encouraged the mortgage industry to help borrowers navigate the loan process better to avoid foreclosures, noting that "many lenders are following Freddie Mac, the first organization to tighten underwriting standards."
