Financial Literacy Day At Freddie Mac

Students at Freddie Mac's Financial Literacy Day

Freddie Mac recently hosted a Financial Literacy Day for 50 underserved teenagers from around the national capital region. The students are interns in a nonprofit Urban Alliance program funded by the Freddie Mac Foundation. Freddie Mac employees provided an interactive learning experience, teaching the young people ages 15 to 19 about personal finance issues including budgeting, saving money, banking and understanding credit.

This program complements Freddie Mac's broader financial literacy efforts. Freddie Mac works with nonprofits, housing professionals and lenders across the country to provide financial education to consumers. Learn more about Freddie Mac's signature financial literacy program CreditSmart®.
