- Financial Literacy Day At Freddie Mac - Freddie Mac employees recently hosted Freddie Mac Financial Literacy Day for Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Md., students in the Urban Alliance High School Internship Program. Our employee volunteers taught students about managing credit and savings, and budgeting.
- Making a Community Month 2010 - More than 700 Freddie Mac employees volunteered in the community through our MAC Month program.
- Freddie Mac Foundation Adoption Expo - About 1500 people turned out for the Freddie Mac Foundation Adoption Expo to learn more about adoption from experts and families.

2009
- MD Homeless Families Receive Permanent Housing, Services - Freddie Mac Foundation grants to two Montgomery County nonprofits will help place homeless families in permanent housing and provide them the services they need to prosper.
- Foundation Sponsors National Adoption Day - On National Adoption Day November 21, more than 4,500 adoptions of children from foster care were finalized. The Foundation is a founding sponsor of the event.
- Employees Build Homes, Team Up for MAC Week - Some 600 Freddie Mac employees teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help build and renovate homes throughout the DC region as part of MAC (Making a Community) Week.
