The Freddie Mac Foundation

The Freddie Mac Foundation Heart Gallery features Washington metropolitan region foster children in need of adoption. The Heart Gallery has helped find adoptive homes for more than 70 children considered hard to place. One of our more visible efforts in the community is the Freddie Mac Foundation, formed in 1991 specifically to turn our desire to help into concentrated community action. As the flagship of Freddie Mac's philanthropy program, the Foundation is dedicated to making home a place where children and families thrive. The Foundation's funding is focused on three areas: Stable Homes/Stable Families, Foster Care and Adoption, and Academic and Career Success.

Since its creation, the Freddie Mac Foundation has partnered with public and private leaders and nonprofits whose services help strengthen and stabilize families and communities. The Freddie Mac Foundation has raised public awareness on issues facing children and their families, and aggressively addressed them by supporting replicable programs with demonstrated results.
