Repurchases, Exchanges and Tender Offers
Freddie Mac uses tender offers and Web-based auctions and repurchases for the following:
- Repurchase Operations
Repurchases of USD Reference Notes securities, €Reference Notes® securities and MTN Callables.
- Exchange Offers
Exchange off-the-run securities for a new issue.
- Tender Offers
Offers to repurchase any and all outstanding amount of targeted securities.
Participating dealers can submit auction bids and repurchase offers directly into the systems and receive results shortly after the auction or the repurchase close.
