General Loan Advisor Suite Questions

What is Loan Advisor Suite?

Freddie Mac Loan Advisor Suite® is our smart, end-to-end technology solution built to give you greater certainty about the quality of your loans and provide you with insight into the loans' purchase eligibility earlier in the loan production process.

Why should I use Loan Advisor Suite?

It provides you with greater certainty through insight into quality, risk and alignment with our eligibility requirements, which helps you originate and deliver loans to Freddie Mac more efficiently. It provides clear guidance to flag issues so you can fix them throughout the process, not at the end.

What tools comprise Loan Advisor Suite?

The cornerstone of the Suite is Loan Product Advisor®. The other tools in the Suite are: Loan Collateral Advisor®, Loan Quality Advisor®, Loan Closing AdvisorSM, the Selling System®, Loan Coverage Advisor®, and Quality Control AdvisorSM. Also included is Business Intelligence capability.

How do I access Loan Advisor Suite and its individual tools?

You have easy access to all the tools through our new single sign-on portal. If you use a vendor to originate your loans, ask them when they will add Loan Advisor Suite to their tool set.

What's the single sign-on portal?

The portal is your one-stop tool box. It's a gateway or central hub that allows you to access the full Suite in one place. Single sign-on allows you to log-in and maneuver between tools for which you are provisioned without having to
log in again.

Do I register to use the portal?

No. There is no registration required to use the portal. You will automatically have access provided you are provisioned to use at least one of the tools.

How do I log into the portal?

Once you've reached https://las.freddiemac.com, you'll see the portal unsecured landing page and the login box in the top right corner of the screen. The portal does not require special access. You'll use your existing username and password for the portal tool(s) to which you have access.

Do I have to type in login credentials each time I access the portal?

No. If you access the portal directly, once you log in with your current username and password, you'll receive a browser-specific pop-up message asking if you want to save, store or remember your user credentials. Depending on your browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox) Please click "Yes", "Save" or "Remember".

The next time you log in, your user credentials will be stored.

Which browsers are compatible with the Loan Advisor Suite portal?

Loan Advisor Suite is compatible with Internet Explorer (IE) 11 and optimal with a screen resolution of 1280 pixels or greater. However, if you do not use IE 11, you can still access all Freddie Mac tools you’re provisioned for, but you won't experience optimal display or functionality.

Can I automatically go to a specific tool when I log into the portal?

Yes. You can set your preferences to pick the tool you want to go to once you sign into the portal. You can even choose the specific page you land on within that tool or any other Loan Advisor Suite tool(s) you use.

How do I set or change my preferences to pick the tool I go to when I login to the portal?

You can easily select your preferences within the portal. Just follow these steps:

  • Click your Display Name (usually your username) in the top right corner to open a dropdown menu and then click 'My Preferences'.
  • Choose the 'Navigation' tab on the left of the screen.
  • Select the tool you'll go to when you log in to the portal and, if you’d like, the preferred landing page within any tool(s) you use.
  • Make sure to click 'Save'. Depending on how many tools you use, you may have to scroll down to see the 'Save' button.

Is there a way I can make my name appear in the top right corner of the portal instead of my username?

Yes. This can be done by editing your Display Name in your preferences. Just follow these steps:

  • Click your Display Name (usually your username) in the top right corner to open a dropdown menu and then click 'My Preferences'.
  • Choose the 'Profile' tab on the left of the screen.
  • Click the 'Edit' button and type the name you'd like to display.
  • Make sure to click the 'Save' button.

Note: Changing your Display Name doesn't actually change your username for login purposes. It simply changes the name that displays in the top right corner within the portal.

Why do I see "Learn More" buttons next to some of the tools? What happens if I click on the "Learn More" button?

You'll see Learn More buttons next to tools you are not authorized to use. If you click on the Learn More button, a pop-up window will appear for that specific tool. From there you can access information about that particular tool. By clicking on the "Get Started" button, you'll be taken to a Freddiemac.com page for information on how to get access to the tool.

I'm a broker, can I use Loan Advisor Suite?
