HARP Success Stories

Borrowers nationwide are reaping significant savings by refinancing through the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) – either by lowering their payments, reducing their interest rate and/or securing a fixed rate. Homeowners who refinanced through HARP during the first quarter of 2013 will save an average of $4,300 in interest payments during the first 12 months.

If you are underwater on your mortgage and still haven't refinanced, we encourage to learn more about the program and contact your mortgage lender or a participating HARP lender to discuss your eligibility.

"We wanted to take advantage of today's low rates but didn't think we could since we were underwater. When we found out about HARP, we were thrilled. Now we're saving more than $500 per month and have peace of mind."

Amount Underwater: more than $100,000

"The process was very easy and took only five or six weeks to complete. Homeowners who are underwater and have a higher interest rate need to do something. Otherwise, you're throwing away money you could be using every month."
