Upcoming Training and Introduction to New Version of OUS Loan Submission Template 2.1

September 16, 2013

Important Reminder as of 9/30/13

Freddie Mac will be releasing its new version of the LST 2.1 template, LST 2.1 (ver.Oct2013), which includes new rent and sales comparable tabs, as well as other important enhancements, on Monday, October 14, 2013.  Your adoption of LST 2.1 (ver.Oct2013) begins with your attendance at an upcoming webinar training session scheduled for October 8, 10, 15 and 17.  For more information on this new template or to register for a webinar, please see the News Center article below.

Today, we want to give you an overview of what Origination and Underwriting System (OUS) activities are taking place within the next few months, along with what those changes will mean for you as an OUS user.

New LST 2.1 (ver. Oct 2013)

On Monday, October 14, we will introduce a new version of the Loan Submission Template (LST) 2.1 to Program Plus® Sellers, to be referred to as LST 2.1 (ver.Oct2013). This new template will provide several meaningful enhancements including:

  • Now usable for Student Rent-by-the-Bed deals
  • Two new tabs to capture Sales and Rent Comparables
  • Property Name editing for special characters to reduce upload errors
  • Fixing of functionality to use S/S Proforma Basis for updating S/S Proforma
  • Notes to Underwriting availability
  • Streamline data entry of number of unit requirements on Input tab
  • New columns on the Collections tab (Add Back Non Revenue, Normalized Collections, Normalized NRI)
  • Fix existing formatting errors to allow you to print your LST

To help with our adoption of LST 2.1 (ver.Oct2013), we’re asking you to attend one of our upcoming webinar training sessions, scheduled for October 8, 10, 15 and 17 (see registration links below). On October 14, we will make LST 2.1 (ver.Oct2013) available for download, as well as provide any new applicable job aids on our Selecting the Correct LST web page.  All Program Plus Sellers should start using LST 2.1 (ver.Oct2013) for any new conventional deals immediately following the October 14 release.

Beginning October 14, the older version of the LST 2.1 will no longer be available for download on the Selecting the Correct LST web page, but OUS will continue to accept any deals already created on the older version until January 15, 2014, when it will be officially retired.

New Version Supports Internal Efficiencies and Collection of More Accurate Data

The addition of new rent and sales comparable tabs will require some additional data and input from Sellers, but we’re making this improvement to help us to process deals in the most efficient manner. You will continue to work in the same OUS environment that you use today, only the LST that you currently use for conventional deal types will change. We expect these changes will help you operate in a more cost-effective manner, deliver loan data to us more accurately and enable us to work together more efficiently.

In order to make these important LST 2.1 (ver.Oct2013) enhancements, OUS will be unavailable from Friday, October 11 at 7 pm ET through Monday, October 14 at 8 a.m. ET.
