PRS Upgrade Scheduled for Adoption of MBA Inspection Form

January 17, 2014

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) recently released the latest version of its Inspection Form and Property Inspection Reference Guide. We hope you’ve have had a chance to review these items as our Asset Management Department prepares to adopt the MBA Inspection Form. You will notice the following changes in the Property Reporting System (PRS) beginning January 23, 2014, as our conversion to the MBA Inspection Form continues:

  • The order of the left navigation menu has been changed.
  • The submission period will be visible on all assessment queues.
  • The default filter choice will default to "contain" when you enter your criteria into any filter in any assessment queue and click enter/return.
  • The new Annual Inspection Form (AIF) template has been converted to the MBA Inspection Form.

PRS Outage and AIF Penalties

Currently, PRS will not accept any Annual Inspection Form (AIF) uploads. PRS will also be unavailable due to the planned infrastructure enhancement on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.  PRS will resume availability following this deployment on Thursday, January 23 at 8:00 a.m. We understand that this PRS outage may delay your first quarter AIF template uploads. It might also make your inspection date older than the required 60 days. Due to the outage, there will be no AIF first quarter penalties for inspections older than 60 days.

Training and Resources

Please plan to attend the PRS webinar on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. ET. Registration is now available for all PRS users.

In addition to the training on the use and submission of the new AIF template, we updated the following PRS resources on the Asset Management Resources page:

If you have any questions about templates or other PRS issues, please submit comments to the Multifamily Asset Performance mailbox with PRS Question in the subject line.
