The Mortgage Bankers Association's Commercial/Multifamily Servicing and Technology Conference takes place next week, May 5-7, in New Orleans, and we're looking forward to seeing you there. Freddie Mac's in-house legal counsel will host a servicing forum for counsel representing K-Deal loan servicers and other post-securitization parties. Attendees will include counsel for Master Servicers, Primary Servicers, and B piece buyers. The focus will be the Freddie Mac Servicing Standard and will include:

  • Coordination and streamlining of consent request reviews
  • Availability of Freddie Mac web resources
  • Opportunities for direct communication with Freddie Mac counsel and the roles and responsibilities of counsel for various servicers in each transaction

Property Needs Assessment/Property Condition Reports and Ongoing Site Inspections

Property condition reports are critical in ascertaining the physical issues that could impair the property cash flow and lead to deteriorating performance at loan underwriting. Loan servicers continue to monitor the property condition via periodic site inspections. This session addresses the importance of property maintenance and the value of the PCR and periodic site inspections in assessing potential property distress.
