February 24, 2015
We’re excited to announce our 2015 Regional Seller Workshops that will be held in each of our regions in April and May. Please save the date for the workshop in your region or, if it doesn’t fit your schedule, we hope you’ll join one of the other sessions:
|April 16||Southeast Region||McLean, VA|
|April 22||Northeast Region||New York City|
|April 28||Western Region||Los Angeles, CA|
|May 11||Central Region||Chicago, IL|
New This Year
We have changed the name of this annual event series and updated the format to include interactive case studies. And, with the introduction of many new and updated offerings over the past year, these workshops are an excellent opportunity to get the latest in-depth knowledge of our offerings and get answers to all your questions.
Who Should Attend
Whether you are new to working with Freddie Mac or a more seasoned customer, our Regional Seller Workshops feature topics requested by our Sellers and are tailored specifically for originators, underwriters and analysts at all levels.
These sessions are recommended for customers in our conventional business and are open only to approved Sellers. A separate event will held for our Small Balance Loan customers later this year. If you are a customer interested in Targeted Affordable Housing, please contact your Freddie Mac representative for customized education at your site.
Regional Overview, Market Insights, Business Updates
We will begin the day by introducing the regional staff and discussing topics tailored specifically to each region, including:
- Our assessment of business conditions in the region
- Key markets in 2015
- Business and product updates
Concurrent Tracks for New and Experienced Sellers
In the afternoon, we’ll host two concurrent educational tracks — one for analysts and the other for more experienced Sellers. You may switch between tracks and choose to attend topics from each.
Analyst Workshop Track
Analysts new to the Freddie Mac execution or looking to sharpen their skills to get quotes and commitments faster should take the Analyst Workshop Track, where we will use case studies that focus on the art of developing a good package quickly:
We’ll cover topics including:
- Third party reports with open items
- Lease-Up Loans
- Underwriting organizational structures
- Pro formas and valuations
Experienced customers are recommended to take the Advanced Track, which will have sessions covering:
- Selling the Freddie Mac execution and how we are expanding our value proposition
- In-depth reviews and discussion of newer and recently updated products
- Latest on securitization and what it means for you and borrowers
Both tracks will conclude with a wrap-up session hosted by regional staff to answer any questions about the day’s content.
Meet and Mingle with Freddie Mac Regional Staff
To conclude the day, we invite you to join us for a “Meet the Region” reception. It is an excellent opportunity to meet the regional office staff and network with your peers.
