David Leopold New VP of Affordable Housing Production for Freddie Mac Multifamily
April 14, 2015
I am pleased to announce that David Leopold will join Freddie Mac Multifamily, effective April 20, as the Vice President of Affordable Housing Production. He will be our lead for managing the relationships, transactions and deal negotiations for the Freddie Mac Multifamily affordable housing business. David will be an excellent addition to our Multifamily leadership team. He has extensive national leadership experience in multifamily lending and tax credit equity and debt products as well as established relationships with many of our customers. David will not only lead the Targeted Affordable Housing business, but also act as thought leader for Freddie Mac on issues related to affordable housing policy and pursuing opportunities for innovation in the affordable housing arena.
Most recently, David managed the origination of tax credit equity investments for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Commercial Real Estate Division and Bank of America’s national lending team for affordable housing and community focused commercial real estate. Prior to his role at Bank of America, he was an affordable housing specialist at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. He is a licensed financial advisor and has undergraduate and graduate degrees with honors from Fordham University and the University of Colorado, respectively.
The need for affordable rental housing has never been greater. David has the skills to help Freddie Mac expand our support of this important market and further our important housing mission.
