Freddie Mac to Issue a New Three-Year Reference Notes® Security

McLean, VA – Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) announced today that it plans to issue a new three-year USD Reference Notes® security, CUSIP number 3137EABY4, due on March 23, 2012. The issue will be priced on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 and will settle on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at benchmark size.
The new three-year Reference Notes security will be offered via a syndicate of dealers headed by J.P. Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and UBS Investment Bank. An application will be made to list the issue on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
