VP Steven Cole

As vice president of Corporate Services, Steven Cole is responsible for operations and services in the corporation’s office facilities and data centers, as well as other corporate support functions including payroll and procurement. Since beginning his employment with Freddie Mac in 1986, Cole has held a number of positions including serving as head of the Procurement Department and head of the Compensations and Benefits Department. Prior to coming to Freddie Mac, Cole held various management positions in the U.S. and overseas with both national and multinational firms. He is also on the Board of Directors of the nonprofit organization Food for Others.


Grassroots Efforts Make an Impact on Earth Day and Beyond

Each year on April 22, more than 500 million people around the world observe Earth Day to build awareness of the Earth’s natural environment.

The first Earth Day was held in 1970 and has grown exponentially in size and significance. Today, it is widely recognized as a time for individuals, businesses, organizations, and governments to unite in a grassroots movement to encourage environmental conservation. Freddie Mac appreciates the impact that grassroots initiatives like these can have because our company's current green initiatives were born out of a grassroots movement by our employees.
