Freddie Mac Recognized as a Best Workplace
Freddie Mac was recently named one of the Top 50 Companies for Executive Women for 2013. The National Association for Female Executives recognized Freddie Mac as a company that leads corporate America in recruiting, retaining and advancing women.
The NAFE Top 50 Companies head the nation in their commitment to female leadership, with women now making up 25% of corporate executives compared to 14% at the Fortune 500.
Working Mother magazine publishes the NAFE awards.
Last year, Freddie Mac was also named one of the 2012 Working Mother 100 Best Companies.
Freddie Mac and the other top companies were recognized for their wide array of progressive workplace programs, including child care, flexibility, advancement and paid leave.
Carol Evans, president of Working Mother Media, said, "This year's 100 Best Companies are leading the way for the rest of the nation. They have created not only essential benefits, like flexible work options and telecommuting, but have also shown their commitment in new ways like elder care referral and legal assistance to help busy parents manage their personal lives as well as their careers."
Some of the other companies honored with this prestigious workplace accolade include: recognition are: Deloitte, Ernst & Young, General Mills, Grant Thornton, IBM, KPMG, Procter & Gamble, PwC, and WellStar.
Hispanic Business, Latina Style and Other Workplace Accolades
Hispanic Business recently named Freddie Mac a 2012 Best Companies for Diversity Practices.
The companies were recognized for their willingness and ability to attract Hispanics to the boardroom, diversity recruitment, diversity retention and promotion, marketing and commercial outreach, and supplier diversity.
In addition, LATINA Style Magazine named Freddie Mac as one of the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work for in the U.S. Now in its 15th year, this annual report sets the standard for identifying corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the U.S.
