  Self employment exists in vast and various industry and commerce. As each enterprise is unique, comprehensive underwriting for self-employed borrowers can present distinct challenges. This 90-minute webinar training will provide you with an introduction and overview of the self-employed borrower focusing on Freddie Mac's requirements for self-employed borrowers Loan Prospector® impacts, and our documentation requirements. In addition, this session will provide a presentation and examination of the sole proprietorship. If your role and responsibilities are in mortgage loan origination or quality control, you will benefit from this training.

  • This session is for employees of approved Freddie Mac Seller/Sellers only and not for the general public
  • Course materials will be emailed to attendees prior to the start of the session

  This session is designed to provide you with the information you need to complete your analysis and to enhance your processes for underwriting self-employed borrowers, with a focus on the sole proprietor. You will gain a better understanding of Freddie Mac's definition of a self-employed borrower, the different types of business structures, how to document the mortgage file and analyzing income for a sole proprietor.
