PMMS Mobile App

Freddie Mac’s weekly Primary Mortgage Market Survey® (PMMS) results are now available through a mobile app for iPhone/iPad, Android, and Blackberry devices.

Freddie Mac surveys lenders each week on the rates and points for their most popular 30-year fixed-rate, 15-year fixed-rate, 5/1 hybrid amortizing adjustable-rate, and 1-year amortizing adjustable-rate mortgage products.

The PMMS survey is conducted from Monday through Wednesday and the results are posted every Thursday. Average rates and points (and margin for ARMs) for each product are reported for the nation and for five geographic regions. The PMMS results are published extensively in the media, used in several government agency reports, and many other industry-related publications.

The PMMS mobile app allows you to:

• View national and regional mortgage rates from the weekly PMMS survey
• Calculate estimated monthly principal and interest payments based on current rate
• View historical trends on dynamic charts
• Tweet the latest rates from the survey

What’s inside:

	Latest Weekly Rates Rates for four key types of mortgages are listed, along with average points paid. Green or red arrows indicate changes from the week before. Estimated Principal and Interest You can also type in a loan amount, and see what the estimated monthly principal and interest payment would be for each mortgage type at the current week’s rates.
	Trend Lines You can see trend lines of rates for each type of mortgage. You choose which date you want to see, and one of five different time-spans for the trend line. The rate and points for your date are displayed. You can also change the view to display a specific region’s trend line.
	Twitter And you can send the PMMS results for a particular mortgage type to your followers on Twitter.
