The Uniform Mortgage Data Program® (UMDP®) is an ongoing effort by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to enhance the accuracy and quality of loan data each GSE requires at loan delivery.
At the direction of our regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Freddie Mac is working with Fannie Mae to develop uniform appraisal and loan delivery data standards that will be required at loan delivery for all mortgages you plan to sell to either GSE. In conjunction with the uniform appraisal data standards, we are also working with Fannie Mae on a joint appraisal data delivery portal for the electronic capture of appraisal data. The uniform appraisal data and loan delivery data projects are closely aligned in their goal to strengthen loan quality, but the projects will require separate implementations. Links to additional information and resources for the projects are provided below.
