Reminder: UCDP Effective Date Coming Soon
February 21, 2012
The required use of the Uniform Collateral Data Portal® (UCDP®) is less than a month away – are you ready? As a reminder, you must submit an appraisal report form to the UCDP prior to delivery, if an appraisal report is required, for all conventional mortgages with application dates on or after December 1, 2011 and delivered to the GSEs (Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae) on or after March 19, 2012.
Originate & Underwrite and Sell & Deliver
To meet this date, you should already be uploading your appraisals, reviewing results and integrating the UCDP into your processes. If you or your staff need help navigating and/or submitting appraisals to the UCDP, you can view one or more of our recorded tutorials on how to use the UCDP application, how to upload and submit appraisal data files, and available reporting options. These self-paced training courses are available on FreddieMac.com.
Collecting the Doc File ID
It's also important that you are collecting and storing the Doc File ID, returned by the UCDP, in your systems. You will need the Doc File ID, also referred to as the "Appraisal Identifier" data point in the Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset (ULDD), for future deliveries to the GSEs. For deliveries on or after July 23, 2012, this data point is required to be included in the loan delivery file submitted to either GSE as part of the ULDD requirements.
As the March 19 deadline approaches, take advantage of available resources to support your organization's smooth transition to the UCDP. Visit Freddie Mac's UMDP Web page for information and resources to support your ongoing implementation.
This communication relates to the Uniform Mortgage Data Program®, an effort undertaken jointly by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae at the direction of their regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
