Freddie Mac Proprietary Messages in the UCDP Phase II

In June 2013, Freddie Mac implemented the first phase of proprietary appraisal quality messages in the Uniform Collateral Data Portal® (UCDP®), which consisted of the addition of the Home Value Explorer® results to provide you with an early view into appraisal quality and any potential collateral risk.

As part of our Greater Purchase Certainty initiative and in a continued effort to support collateral quality, we will implement the second phase of Freddie Mac's proprietary messages in the UCDP in the summer of 2014. This enhancement to the UCDP will include evaluating appraisal data against other data sources to provide you with new Freddie Mac-specific feedback messages on potential errors and discrepancies, on appraisal reports submitted to the UCDP.

The second phase of Freddie Mac proprietary messages in the UCDP will:

  • Provide you with an enhanced view of the quality of an appraisal submitted to the UCDP.
  • Provide limited feedback messages on compliance with Freddie Mac appraisal requirements.
  • Improve the feedback you receive from the UCDP by including more informative, specific and actionable messages about the appraisal reports submitted to Freddie Mac through the UCDP.

The new proprietary feedback messages will be returned through the UCDP user interface and/or system-to-system interfaces.

We are in the process of reviewing messages that will be implemented for this second phase of Freddie Mac's proprietary messaging in the UCDP. We will provide more updates and guidance in the near future on the type of feedback messages you can expect in the UCDP.
