Phase II Freddie Mac UCDP Proprietary Messages Coming June 8
April 23, 2014
We've periodically provided you with updates regarding the implementation of Freddie Mac's proprietary messages in the Uniform Collateral Data Portal® (UCDP®). Today we are announcing that beginning June 8, 2014, you will see the new Freddie Mac-specific feedback messages for appraisals submitted to Freddie Mac in the UCDP.
This second phase of proprietary messages is aligned with our effort to provide improved appraisal quality feedback. The new messages will:
- Provide you with feedback regarding appraisal submissions that may not meet certain Freddie Mac requirements.
- Identify appraisal findings that Freddie Mac may review post-purchase for a specific appraisal submission.
- Offer specific data relative to certain findings to assist you in managing risk and help you achieve greater purchase certainty.
Future enhancements in the UCDP will incorporate additional messages as part of our continuing effort to provide a more in-depth view into the quality and accuracy of appraisal submissions.
As we announced in February, a new Freddie Mac-specific Hard Stop code and Freddie Mac-specific message IDs for Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) appraisal submissions will be added to the UCDP. At this time, receiving this Hard Stop code and associated messages on appraisal submissions will be warning in nature and will have no effect to a "Successful" submission status in the UCDP.
