Important Browser Update News for Freddie Mac Internet Explorer Users
March 13, 2017
Since Microsoft® no longer provides security updates or technical support for Internet Explorer® (IE) browser versions older than 11, Freddie Mac Loan Advisor Suite® will only support browser versions of IE 11 or newer beginning August 31.
Using an unsupported browser is bad for business – literally. It can expose you to malicious attacks, compromising your security and causing interruptions to your business. It can also alter or distort the visual display of your web page. So, if you're using IE 10 or older, and you use any of the following tools, please upgrade to IE 11 by August 31 to safeguard your data, and for optimal visual display and functionality.
Loan Product Advisor®
Loan Collateral Advisor®
Loan Quality Advisor®
Loan Closing Advisor®
Loan Selling AdvisorSM
Loan Coverage Advisor®
Please note that this upgrade only involves Internet Explorer. Firefox and Chrome are automatically updated.
What If I Don’t Upgrade?
If you don't upgrade to IE 11 by August 31, you will still have access to all Freddie Mac tools you’re provisioned for, but you won't experience optimal display or functionality.
If you choose to switch to another web browser and not upgrade, we currently have ongoing support for Firefox. We do not actively support Google Chrome.
