Revised Rental Income Requirements and Other Updates

Freddie Mac is making changes to our rental income qualification requirements and guidance as announced in Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide (Guide) Bulletin 2017-12. The revisions focus on housing market trends that impact the analysis of stable monthly rental income.
The revised requirements are effective for mortgages with Freddie Mac settlement dates on and after February 9, 2018. Customers may implement the updated requirements immediately, but they must apply the revised requirements in their entirety.
