Temporary Seller Reimbursement Process for Property Inspection Costs

As a follow-up to Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide (Guide) Bulletin 2017-21, we’re providing Sellers with details on how to request reimbursement for expenses associated with certain property inspections.
In the Bulletin, we announced we would reimburse Sellers through September 2018, for property inspections completed prior to the sale or securitization of mortgages on properties in Eligible Disaster Areas associated with 2017 hurricanes.
We also posted a new resource, Selling Requirements and Guidance for Mortgages Affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, with guidance related to possible scenarios and associated actions to be taken for mortgages affected by recent hurricanes.
