We're focused on helping you create more opportunities for borrowers

We're committed to working with you every step of the way to achieve mortgage business success. One of the ways we do this is by providing initiatives and resources that create opportunities for you and your borrowers. At their core, these initiatives are designed to help you reach out to more borrowers, more easily meet their needs, and better equip them for successful homeownership.

Whether you're reaching out to first-time homebuyers, minorities, immigrants, or a combination, Freddie Mac has tools to help you connect with the markets you are pursuing. Our pre-purchase outreach efforts are:

  • Often developed with direct participation from the groups the tools are intended for.
  • Easy to implement and provide both the content and promotional support in multiple languages, making them more broadly applicable and useful. For instance, in addition to English, we currently have CreditSmart materials available in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese.

Remove the barriers to homeownership with dynamic outreach tools

  • Expanded educational tools. From the Get the Facts!SM workshops meant to dispel homebuying myths to the CreditSmart® curriculum aimed at improving consumers' financial literacy and inspiring responsible homeownership, Freddie Mac offers a variety of consumer education initiatives that are both effective and replicable in your own community.
  • Loan Prospector® efficiencies. We understand that each of your customers has unique needs, so we offer access to more of the solutions you need at the point-of-sale to strengthen your origination channels. Loan Prospector, our automated underwriting service, offers a comprehensive set of mortgage products and enhanced point-of-sale capabilities that increase your efficiency and expand your reach. Plus, you can take advantage of Loan Prospector's free conventional/conforming "caution" submissions on first submission to assess more loans, of more types, for more borrowers.
  • Spanish language mortgage documents. In a joint initiative aimed at better serving the needs of the rapidly-growing Hispanic community and helping overcome language challenges, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae now offer Spanish translations of 83 non-executable uniform mortgage instruments that are designed to help more Hispanic borrowers in their quest for homeownership.

Freddie Mac is with you every step of the way through the homebuying process and we remain focused on working with you to create more opportunities for future homeowners. It is our goal to help you establish your presence in new and emerging markets, drive new origination volume, and fulfill the homeownership aspirations of a diverse borrower base.
