Expense reimbursements – How to submit and track your requests

With foreclosure rates rising, you may be asking yourself how to better manage your default management processes and obtain expense reimbursements from Freddie Mac. You'll be pleased to know there are education resources available to help you every step of the way as you go through the reimbursement process.

  • Expense Reimbursement Desk Reference [PDF 966K] (formerly titled 'Form 104SF Desk Reference') This updated and renamed desk reference is your comprehensive resource about the Form 104SF-Statement of Loan, Workout, and REO Expenses and Income, Form 104DC-Designated Counsel/Trustee, and the Online Reimbursement System. It includes detailed information about changes announced in our June 22 Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide Bulletin [PDF 169K], including a redesigned Form 104SF, additional adjustment codes, and more details about expense codes.
  • Form 104SF – Recorded Web Conference. This 60-minute Recorded Web Conference training session is especially beneficial to individuals responsible for submitting reimbursement requests related to workout, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and Real Estate Owned (REO) expenses. Attend this session to fully understand and learn how to use the Form 104SF in both its paper and online versions. Plus, you'll learn how Freddie Mac's Expense ManagerSM helps you track the status of filed reimbursement claims.
  • Expense Reimbursement Quick Reference [PDF [an error occurred while processing this directive]]. Seasoned default management staff may find it helpful to refer to this quick reference for general guidance and the 'short answer' about how to submit and track the status of both REO and non-REO expenses. It includes references to get more detailed information in the Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide and the Expense Reimbursement Desk Reference [PDF 966K].

Check out The Learning Center for other Default Management Training and Education Resources [PDF 412K].
